Will you really come to my house?

Yes! We come to your house so that you don’t have to have the hassle of loading your pets in the car, waiting in the waiting room, sitting in a small exam room, driving home, and cleaning up the mess afterwards. If you have questions about what we can do in your home please see our services page, or feel free to contact us anytime!

Service Area Map

We serve the Columbus, Ohio area inside the 270 outer belt including Downtown Columbus, German Village, Bexley, Merion Village, Victorian Village, the Short North, Upper Arlington, Clintonville, Worthington, and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure if we’ll come to your house take a look at our service area map. Generally if you’re within 15 miles of downtown Columbus, we will be happy to come to you. If you’re outside of this area contact us, and we can give you an estimate of the additional cost (if any).

I live outside your service area. Will you come to my house?

Service outside this area is also available with a fuel surcharge based on your location. If you aren’t sure if we go to where you live, feel free to contact us, and we will promptly let you know if we can travel to your location and give you an estimate of what the cost would be.

What can I expect when you come to my house?

When City Paws arrives to your house, the doctor (and an assistant if necessary) will come to the door and introduce themselves to you and your pets. They will talk with you regarding any concerns and get you and your pets’ information into our computerized medical records system. A routine exam will be performed that checks your pets’ general health.

Next, any necessary tools, medications, or vaccinations will be retrieved from our vehicle and administered as necessary. All records will be entered into our computerized medical records system, and we will give you an itemized, detailed receipt showing all details of your visit.

How do I set up an appointment?

To set up an appointment call us at 614-636-1818 or make an appointment request on our website. Our hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am- 6:00pm, and Saturday- 9:00pm-12:00pm. Occasionally, we will accommodate late after-work appointments when necessary.

What is your payment policy?

In order to keep our costs lower and therefore offer more competitive prices to our clients, we ask that payment be made at the time of service.

With our computerized medical record and billing, we have the ability to create itemized and detailed receipts in your home. We can e-mail you the receipt instantly, or print and mail it to you. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards.

What are your prices?

We take pride in providing premium customer service and care for your pets, and our prices are comparable to most other veterinarians. If you have questions about the price of a specific service or would like to request an estimate, feel free to contact us. We would be happy to discuss your care options.

What is your cancellation policy?

If an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, the house call fee will be charged to your account. If you need to reschedule outside of 24 hours, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Will City Paws Home Health ever cancel on me?

City Paws Home Health aims to provide top-notch service for all of our clients; therefore we have never canceled a scheduled service for our clients. City Paws will not travel in Level 2 or Level 3 Snow Emergencies as we aim to keep our staff safe.

If extreme weather conditions inhibit us from traveling to your location, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule.

How can I get a refill on my pet’s prescription?

If your pet needs a refill on his or her prescription, call us at 614-636-1818 or fill out an online refill request.

What do I do if my pet has an emergency?

City Paws Home Health provides minor emergency care for our established clients during business hours. Emergencies needing to be seen outside of normal business hours will be referred to an emergency or referral hospital.

Due to our inability to provide 24-hour and intensive care in your home, we advise major and life-threatening emergencies to be seen by a referral hospital immediately.

Emergencies that occur during normal business hours will be seen on an as-needed basis.
